Silk, Net and Traditional Detail

Shireen Lakdawala’s Afreen collection focuses on Luxury Pret designs in soft colours, detailed fabrics and traditional embroidery. Pure net, silk, organza and khaddi silk appear across the current selection, with shades ranging from lilac, pastel blue and pale gold to soft pink, sage green and sky blue.

Thread embroidery forms a strong part of the collection, while gotta, tilla, crystals, pearls, sequins, zari and mirror work add detail to selected designs. The collection also includes straight-cut kurtas, peplum shirts and pishwas, paired with trousers, dupattas and other coordinating pieces. 

Pure Net with Thread Embroidery

Pure net appears across several Afreen designs. Asteria uses a lilac pure net shirt with thread embroidery, lace and organza trimmings. Seashell takes a soft neutral tone with a pure net shirt detailed with thread embroidery, while Silver Blue uses ice blue pure net with embroidery across the shirt. These designs show how the collection uses net as a base for both softer and more detailed looks.

Soft Colours with Gold Details

The collection also moves into silk and organza designs. Honey Dew uses grey silk with gotta, tilla and crystal work, while Sky Melody pairs sky-blue embossed khaddi silk with pearl and sequin embroidery. 

Coral Reef uses pure embossed organza with a light pink base and gold block-print motifs, while Clemintine combines off-white beige organza with zari and mirror work. Forest Green uses silk with gotta work along the sleeves and hem.
