Chiffon with Traditional Handwork

Shireen Lakdawala’s Muskaan collection focuses on chiffon outfits with detailed embroidery and traditional handwork. The collection includes long dresses, sarees, kaftans, kalidars, lehenga styles, and an Angarkha, giving the selection a varied range of formal outfit shapes. 

Sequins and threadwork appear throughout the collection, with gotta, tilla, crystals, pearls, mirror work, and applique adding further detail to selected pieces. Gold work is also visible across several designs, while softer details such as floral thread embroidery and handmade tassels add variety to the embellishment.

Chiffon in Different Forms

Chiffon takes different forms across Muskaan. Riya is a long chiffon outfit paired with a styled lehenga skirt, featuring sequins, threadwork, applique gotta, crystals, and tilla. Zarmin takes the fabric into a stitched saree with sequins, threadwork, and gotta pati finishing. Gia offers a long chiffon dress with an embossed in-house block print, gold thread, sequins and gotta work.
