Make this Eid Grand with Our First-Ever Unstitched Luxury Collection

Eid-ul-Adha, like its sister, Eid-ul-Fitr is a grand festivity for Muslims! It calls for huge celebrations across the world with lots of food, a custom of wearing new clothes, and spending the day with your entire family, surrounded by love. Shireen Lakdawala, per tradition, contributes to this festival by launching a special collection. But this time, the hype is different, the craze is different. WHY? Because we have launched our FIRST-EVER unstitched collection, Afsanay, to make this Eid grander and fuller of love. We will get into the details but first let us share a little something about the festivity itself.

The Specialty of Eid-ul-Adha

Eid-ul-Adha, which is also known as the "Festival of Sacrifice," is one of the most important holy days for Muslims around the world. It takes place on the tenth day of Dhu-al-Hijjah, the twelfth and last month of the Islamic solar calendar. It is the end of the Hajj journey. People celebrate the holiday to remember how devoted Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) was to Allah (God). Islamic belief says that as a test of faith, Allah asked Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ismail. But right before the offering, Allah stepped in and changed Ismail into a ram to be killed instead. Muslims celebrate this act of replacement with the Qurbani (sacrifice), which means they will always obey Allah and ALLAH will always reward their sacrifice.

It is A Beautiful Blend of Spirituality and Celebration

Eid-ul-Adha is a time for spiritual thought, but it's also a time for celebration and getting to know each other better. Depending on the country you’re in, the party can last anywhere from two to four days. The Qurbani is done after the Eid services, which are held in mosques, your homes, or devoted qurbani places as a group on the morning of Eid. Animals like sheep, lambs, cows, bulls, and camels are used for Qurbani. For an animal to be good for sacrifice, it has to be fit and of a certain age.

The After-Sacrifice Traditions

People divide the meat from the offering into three equal parts. One third goes to family, one third to friends, and one third to people who are in need. This sharing brings attention to the important ideas of giving and helping others that are at the heart of Eid-ul-Adha. On this day, families usually wear their newest or nicest clothes, eat meals together, and go to social events where they share gifts. Eid-ul-Adha is a very important holiday for Muslims because it reminds them of the ideals of faith, sacrifice, and community. This makes sure that everyone in the community is generous and friendly.

Our Contribution to this Beautiful Occasion

Eid-ul-Adha is equally important for Muslims in the United States. It combines old religious customs with modern cultural displays. However, one thing that makes enjoying this event in the US different is that it can be hard for women to dress in traditional Eastern clothes. Even though this kind of clothing is hard to find in most American stores, Eid-ul-Adha is still a time when many people try to connect with their cultural roots by wearing clothes that represent the holiday. It is because of this need that Shireen Lakdawala comes up with a unique collection every year just for Eid-ul-Adha.

Our part in this holiday season goes beyond just dress. We work hard the entire year to come up with colorful, high-quality dresses that fit the spirit of Eid-ul-Adha. We carefully pick the colors and patterns of our clothes to show how happy and holy the holiday is, which hits home with the Asian Muslim community in the US. We at Shireen Lakdawala think that fashion can bring people together. Our designs are a way for people to share their culture and get to know each other better. Each piece is made to make sure that every woman feels honored and linked, both to her faith and to a larger, thriving community during this important time.

The Gift is Bigger this Year!

This Eid-ul-Adha, Shireen Lakdawala’s gift to you is Bigger and Better. Along with our famous stitched dresses, we're offering an unstitched line for the first time ever. This way, every woman can find the right Eid outfit. With this two-collection method, you can pick any of our designs in either a stitched or an unstitched version. This gives you the most freedom and customization options for your holiday outfit.

Our experts believe that being connected with our audience is the most important thing for us. So, we continually ask for your suggestions and approval. In doing so, when we learned about our customers' individual tastes and needs, we were motivated to create an unstitched line. People have always loved our stitched dresses, like the beautiful Zeina dress with its bright orange color and classic round neck. But we know that some women may like other styles, like a collared or ban-shaped neckline. Our "unstitched" choice takes away all restrictions, letting you make your dress exactly how you want it.
